I have not interacted with a single staff member that was impolite or rude. I appreciate everything that my O&M instructor, social worker, and VRT have done for me. They really have been great. I am thankful every day for the assistance I’ve received from HKSB.
“I feel much more confident in my own abilities. My O&M instructor helped me maneuver myself in the streets and use my cane properly. He was so patient and understanding with me. With his help and my social worker’s help, I understand that I can travel in different environments. They gave me the support to feel independent again. With the help I received from my VRT services, I am able to identify and organize things in my home differently. I am able to maneuver myself in the kitchen again and handle medication more confidently. Speaking about HKSB, I feel like I am a part of a big family.” -Kent Harper
