Why Support the CLC?

The first years of life are the most critical window for developmental intervention. When children with complex needs receive the right support during ages 3–5, they build foundations for communication, mobility, independence, and lifelong learning.

On Long Island, access to comprehensive, integrated preschool services for this population is extremely limited. The CLC expansion directly addresses that gap — bringing a proven model to two communities that desperately need it.

Every gift, at every level, contributes to making these schools a reality.

Ways to Give

Individual Giving

Individual donors can support the expansion through one-time gifts, multi-year pledges, or planned giving. All contributions support CLC program operations, facility development, and specialized equipment. This includes program support, facility development, technology and adaptive equipment.

Named Giving Opportunities

Naming opportunities are available at both the Suffolk County and Nassau County locations, at multiple levels including school-level naming, signature spaces, classrooms, therapy rooms, and other specialized spaces. For information on naming opportunities and investment levels, please contact our Development team.

Fund-a-Need: Classroom Essentials

Beyond core operational funding, the CLC has specific program needs that philanthropic support can address directly. Fund-a-Need items include sensory integration kits, interactive smartboards, iPads for learning and therapy, assistive technology, field trip programming, and adaptive materials. Contact us to learn about current Fund-a-Need priorities and giving levels.

Corporate Partnerships

Businesses that partner with the CLC expansion gain meaningful community impact, employee engagement opportunities, and public recognition as champions for children with complex needs on Long Island. Corporate partnerships can take many forms — event sponsorship, program sponsorship, in-kind support, and employee volunteerism. We welcome conversations about partnership opportunities tailored to your organization’s interests and capacity.

Foundation Grants

HKS welcomes inquiries from private and family foundations interested in supporting the CLC expansion. We are happy to discuss alignment with your foundation’s priorities and provide supporting materials.
