NJ/DE Virtual Mini Transition Institute: Hopes and Dreams

Helen Keller National Center, in collaboration with the Delaware Program for Children with Deafblindness and the New Jersey Center on Deafblindness is holding a Virtual Transition Institute for the 2022-23 school year. A variety of online workshops for students and families will be offered centering around self-advocacy for DeafBlind transition-aged youth (ages 14-21).
Workshop 3 from Self-Advocacy: “Don’t Forget About Me!” Series Transition-aged DeafBlind students and their families will explore interests, strengths and preferences of each young adult. Activities will help identify likes and dislikes to be included in the IEP and for future planning purposes in the postsecondary world.
