Free Courses for DeafBlind Awareness Week 2026

Thank you for completing the form. In recognition of DeafBlind Awareness Week, HKNC is offering four online courses free of charge throughout the month of June. Each course is listed below with a brief description, direct link, and a unique coupon code for free enrollment.

How to Redeem Your Coupon Code

• If you don’t already have an account with Helen Keller Services, please register here: HKS Website Registration. You will need an account to be able to access the courses you enroll in.
• Copy the coupon code for the course you want.
• Visit the course page using the link provided.
• Click “Enroll Myself” to add the course to your cart.
• To enroll in additional courses, return to the catalogue and add them to your cart.
• In your cart, locate the “Coupons” field below the list of courses. Paste the coupon code and select “Apply Coupon.” The price will update to zero. If you have multiple courses in your cart, enter the corresponding code for each.
• Select “Proceed to Checkout” to complete enrollment.

Ensuring Access to Communication: A Guide for Direct Providers Working or Interacting with Individuals Who Are DeafBlind

This course provides functional and practical information on how to best communicate with individuals who are DeafBlind. It addresses the various communication modalities used by individuals who are DeafBlind, including sign language, speech, text, and alternative methods such as print on palm, along with the accommodations and modifications that may be needed for each.
