Helen Keller National CenterSuccess Story

Ricardo Rivera

Learn about Ricardo Rivera's positive experience navigating his hearing and vision loss at Helen Keller National Center.

“Working with HKNC has been absolutely essential to my ability to navigate my hearing and vision disabilities. I worked closely with Carol the audiologist to fine tune my new hearing aids, and with Melida the low vision specialist on exactly what kind of sunglasses feel most comfortable and protective. My work with Taylor, the mobility instructor, has changed the way I move in the world as now I use my cane with confidence almost everywhere I go. Thank you so much to everyone at HKNC for making such a difference in my quality of life!” -Ricardo Rivera
