Join us for Helen’s 5K Run/Walk on November 3, 2024, in Sands Point, NY, Long Island, as we raise funds for Helen Keller Services. This inspiring event brings together runners, walkers, and supporters from all walks of life to champion our cause. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a casual walker, your participation advances our mission to empower individuals who are blind, DeafBlind, or have low vision to live, work, and thrive in their communities of choice.

Check-in & Registration Time:  7:45 – 9:00 am
Official Start Time: 9:30 am

Walkers/Runners:
Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Participants under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Award Categories:

  • The first physically challenged male and female finishers
  • The 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place finishers who are DeafBlind
  • The first three male and female winners in each age category: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
  • Award to the top male and female Veterans or in the Military

About Helen Keller Services

Helen Keller Services (HKS), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, offers programs and services through two divisions: Helen Keller National Center for Deaf/Blind Youths and Adults (HKNC) and Helen Keller Services for the Blind (HKSB).  With your support and sponsorship, HKS will continue to offer a rich variety of innovative programs and services for people who are blind, have low vision or DeafBlind as they seek to attain their own definition of success and independence.

The funds raised through this event directly support our programs and services, allowing us to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. With your generosity, we can expand our reach, enhance our programs, and create more opportunities for those who rely on our services.
