HKS Virtual Helen's 5K Run.Walk.Ride. 2022

HKS is excited to share that this year’s Helen’s Run.Walk.Ride. was a BIG success! We had over 200 registrants from across the country, 16 great Teams and so many wonderful Individual Fundraisers! We couldn’t have done this without your generosity and support. We surpassed this year’s Goal of $30,000! To date, almost $33,000 has been raised! THANK YOU!

About Helen Keller Services Health & Wellness Program:

The funds raised from Helen’s 5K Run.Walk.Ride. 2022 will go to support Helen Keller Services (HKS) Health & Wellness Program. The Health & Wellness Program benefits individuals ages 18 and older who are blind, have low vision, DeafBlind, and/or have intellectual disabilities.

This important and popular program among HKS consumers provides accessible physical health activities and mental health initiatives, both in-person and virtually, in the Brooklyn, Hempstead, Islandia, and Sands Point, NY locations, and includes but is not limited to dance movement therapy, yoga and/or Pilates instruction, nutrition education, creative arts therapy, gardening activities, aromatherapy, and workshops on various topics related to health and wellness, including a quarterly mental health and self-advocacy component.
