Meet your trainer!

This webinar will be taught by Scott Davert, an expert in the area of DeafBlind technology.

About this seminar:

VoiceOver on an iPhone has been a popular access solution for many years, many users also include accessories to utilize the operating system (iOS) more comfortably. Consumers who use speech, individuals who use a Mantis q40 and for those who prefer typing on a QWERTY keyboard instead of a braille one, QWERTY keyboards often assist them in using their iOS Device more efficiently. Demonstrations will be provided.

Updated for iOS 16, topics in this seminar include:

  • Reasons why a DeafBlind individual may benefit from a Bluetooth keyboard over other access methods
  • Settings to consider when working with different parts of the DeafBlind population.
  • How to set up customized keyboard commands and why this may be necessary.

On-screen sign language interpretation, voice over and captioning will be provided.
