Rose Romano 50th Anniversary Celebrating Rose Romano’s 50th Anniversary at Helen Keller Services

On June 13th, 2013 the entire staff of Helen Keller Services for the Blind in Brooklyn gathered to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rosemarie “Rose” Romano’s employment with the organization. Rose, who is blind, has dedicated her life to helping and being an advocate for those who are visually impaired, plus being a staunch supporter of the services provided by Helen Keller Services for the Blind. Rose was presented with a beautiful gesture of appreciation by the organization, written in both script and Braille.

After warm, heart-felt speeches given by Thomas Edwards (CEO & President), Frank Primeggia (Managing Director, Rehabilitation Services), and Cheryl Merritt-Giles (Managing Director, Human Resources), an array of delicious cheesecakes and fruit salad were served up to everyone. Rose celebrated the congratulations not only with the entire staff, but with her daughter and son-in-law, who made a surprise appearance for the special occasion.

Happy 50th Anniversary, Rose!
