Services for Senior Citizens
Senior Centers
Helen Keller Services for the Blind operates centers in Brooklyn, Hempstead, and Huntington for seniors who are blind or visually impaired. These Senior Centers offer recreational and educational activities designed to keep members engaged and independent. Activities include yoga, arts and crafts, gardening, games, guest lectures, and frequent field trips. Staff can also provide additional rehabilitation training when needed.
Low Vision Services
We also offer senior citizens Low Vision Services to help enhance any remaining vision they have.
