Shop Smart, Do Good Fundraiser

Charity day is back at Lord & Taylor!

March 18, 2010, New York — We have again been selected to participate in Lord & Taylor’s annual charity day benefit called “Do Good!” It’s a quick and easy way to support HKSB.

Purchase a $5 Lord & Taylor shopping pass and we keep 100% of the proceeds. And when you shop at the store, your ticket is collected, making us eligible for more donations!

The “Do Good!” fundraising shopping event will take place at Lord & Taylor Manhasset (1440 Northern Boulevard), Thursday, May 6th, 9 am to 11 pm.

Your exclusive shopping pass entitles you to save 20% on one special item and 15% all day. Lord & Taylor card holders get an extra 10%! And if you open an account at Lord & Taylor, you get another 15%! Imagine—you open an account, get 15% plus another 10% for having the card and 20% on one special item—that’s 45% off!

The day’s activities will include complimentary hand massages at Oasis Day Spa; national makeup artists at the various cosmetic counters; Real Housewives of New York cast member Bethenny Frankel; style expert David Zyla giving you one-on-one advice and a free autographed copy of his “Color of Style”; former Yankee Tino Martinez autographed baseball DVDs (with a purchase in the men’s department; and much more.

As before, Lord & Taylor will let you do a Pre-Sell—one week before you can shop for your items, use the discounts, and pick them up on May 6th or after.

Coupons are available for sale in our Brooklyn office (see Deborah Samuelson, 718-522-2122, ext. 204); our Hempstead location (see Lorraine LoCurto, 516-485-1234, ext. 610) and Huntington (see Debbie Costa, 631-424-0022).

But wait—this year they’ve added something extra! You can now go to www.lordandtaylor.com/dogoodmanhasset and order your coupon, for the same price ($5), ONLINE! Lord & Taylor will send it directly to you. Just make sure to choose Helen Keller Services for the Blind as the designated charity.

Thanks for supporting HKSB!
