Children’s Learning Center Visits Staten Island Children’s Museum
September 25, 2010, New York — On September 24, the children from HKSB’s Children’s Learning Center took a field trip to the Staten Island Children’s Museum and spent a beautiful sun-drenched day learning, playing and just having fun. Located on the grounds of the Snug Harbor Cultural Center, the Museum offers creative workshops and interactive exhibitions like Block Harbor (an actual pirate ship with a galley!); Sea of Boats (an outdoor sea-faring play space featuring boats, a lighthouse, etc.) and Ladder 11 (a place for children to pretend they are a firefighter — from putting on firefighter gear to ringing the bell to sliding down the pole).
