Children’s Learning Center Enjoys Private Circus Clown Performance
August 10, 2010, New York — On August 6, HKSB’s Children’s Learning Center was treated to a special, private performance from Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey Circus! Clowns Dean and Stevie, two of their top stars, performed special acts for the children, including a trick called “The Diablo.” The Diablo is a rubber prop that resembles a giant eggcup holder which Stevie used to control sticks and keep it spinning in his ear, which not only delighted the kids but produced peals of laughter and applause from everyone in the room. The kids were able to touch and feel each prop after it was used, including the Diablo, feathers, and Dean’s oversized shoe. Some children even opted to put on some of their outfits! Many of the children were eager to touch Steve’s spiky hair and Dean’s big clown nose. Each child was given their very own red rubber clown nose to keep along with a Ringling Bros. Circus sticker. We are very grateful to Ringling Brothers for providing our children with this wonderful visit!
