CLC Goes To The Circus!
July 21, 2010, New York —Courtesy of Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh and Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey, the children of HKSB’s Children’s Learning Center were treated to ringside seats at the “Coney Island Illuscination”—Ringling Brothers’ one-ring circus tribute to Coney Island. In addition to outlandish clowns and spectacular elephants, there was “Illuscinator” David DaVinci, suspended by his feet, trying to escape from a straitjacket while directly above a pack of lions. There were two female aerialists twirling and soaring 35 feet above the audience, suspended solely by their hair (!). And performing for the first time in America were the Kung Fu Kings, who dove blindfolded through a spinning ring of fire intertwined with more than 40 swords. Needless to say, a good time was had by all.
